Waves.L3.Multimaximizer.v1.0-H2O 64 Bit

The first take had an [Amp Farm] Embyboard 5 comp, a [Waves] Pulse Compressor, a [Waves] AEB2, a [Waves] Phaser, and a [Waves] H-Filter. The next take had a [Waves] S1 comp, a [Waves] Phaser, and a [Waves] H-Filter. For the final take I switched to an [Waves] Cloudverb 7 and a [Waves] Roland R201 comp and it was all [Waves] Compression. The entire track was mastered at [Waves] mastering. I chose a Stereo sound and used the Waves [Equalizer] EQ to balance out the track.

For the rhythm guitars I use a [Waves] Neutron, for the bass I use a [Waves] Bass Compressor, and for the guitar leads I use a [Waves] Roland R201 comp, a [Waves] Roland B3, and a [Waves] Moog Gen. I used two [Waves] Superette pads for the high and low end bits.

While recording the vocals I adjusted the Waves [Equalizer] EQ to the point where they were fairly balanced for all of the instruments. For all the guitars I used a [Waves] Cloudverb 7 and a [Waves] Smootherizer as compression. For all the strumming guitars I used the [Waves] Smootherizer, as well as a [Waves] Roland R201 comp. For the high end recording, I used the [Waves] Serge Delabedier. For the bass I used a [Waves] Demister.

I started with an [Amp Farm] Embyboard 5, using the Waves [Panorama] Compressor, [Hyperlead] EQ, and [Hyperlead] Limiter. Then I switched to the Waves S1 for the second pair of vocals and started adding [UAD] Roland R201 and [Delay] Delay Echoplex. Then I added the Waves [Mix Plus] Limiter, Waves [Equalizer] EQ, and [Amp Farm] Embyboard 5 and balanced them all out again with the [NeoLimiter]. Then the [Amp Farm] Embyboard 5 was turned up to 7/10 and I added the [Waves] Super Tap.

The L3 Compressor is not designed for mixing. It is a compressor and a limiter, and it will do both. It excels at one more than the other, however, and is best used when you are mixing the final master of your recording or mixing final stage of your mastering. This is because the L3 Compressor does everything correctly.
