Do you like Photoshop, but you know it is not the program you need to use for your workflow? Try Adobe Lightroom instead! This program offers similar, but not identical, functionality. Lightroom also offers adjustment layers and is compatible with a variety of external image-editing programs such as Photoshop, but it is a little like applying lipstick to a pig: The end result looks just like a pig.
Taking a Closer Look at Adobe’s Digital Photo Studio
Adobe Digital Photo Studio (DPS) is another Adobe product that offers similar capabilities to Photoshop. It offers tools to create all the images that you might need to make a magazine cover or CD/DVD cover, including web banner graphics, advertisements, and any of the other items you might need to create cover art for publication. Figure 14-14 shows how DPS can be used to create and edit an image.

DPS works with either the Photoshop or the Lightroom image editing software. When you use Photoshop or Lightroom, you are working with a layer-based system, so it is no surprise that it behaves in a similar way to Photoshop and the Lightroom software.
One reason why I use DPS is that I can click the Create Image button and it automatically opens the Image Boundary dialog box, which contains the most commonly used and commonly misused commands.
This dialog box is a great spot to start experimenting with the various elements of an image.
The following list describes the functions available in DPS:
Create New Image: Creates a new image using a variety of tools. From this dialog box, you can also save the image and choose to have it placed in either the My Albums or the User Albums folder. The User Albums folder is the default location unless you override this location.
Adjust Color: This is one of the most commonly used features in any image-editing program. If an image is too blue, too red, or just not bright enough, you can change the color by increasing or decreasing the hue, saturation, or value.
Adjust Smart: This feature adjusts either the brightness, contrast, or sharpening of the image. The sharpening feature is not terribly useful unless you

Elements may not be fully capable of editing all types of photographs or adobe still images. For example, it may not recognize embedded audio or allow you to create titles or modify masks within titles.

Eurythmics (album)
Eurythmics is the debut studio album by Swedish pop duo Eurythmics, released on 24 October 1981 by RCA Records.
Album and Critical Reception
The album was a critical success in the early 1980s. It peaked at number 3 in the UK Albums Chart and sold over three million copies worldwide. Helen Shapiro appeared on three tracks: «Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)», «Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) (My Sweet Heart) «, and «The Bond». Vocalist Annie Lennox also performed with the group on «Love Is a Stranger», on which two versions of the song were recorded: one with David A. Stewart and one with each of the other band members.
In December 2015, it was announced that Eurythmics would be re-released in the UK, and the first run of vinyl copies was released on 1 December 2015. The original album was remastered, with the original artwork restored and previously unreleased alternate mixes of «Walk Like an Egyptian» and «Nite Flights» included.
In the United States, Eurythmics was ineligible for the Pop Album of the Year Grammy award, despite being nominated for four in the Best Album category, thanks to the fact that it was released during a time period when the award for Best Album category was renamed from the Grammy Award Album of the Year to the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The group did, however, win a Grammy Award for Best Performance for a Pop Singles for «Love Is a Stranger».
After being on the UK charts for a decade, Eurythmics was finally recognised as a cult classic in the UK in 2013, when it was voted number 77 in the Guardian’s top 100 albums of all time. In January 2014 the album was placed at number 50 on the US Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums Chart.
The album was reissued again in the UK in March 2014, including three bonus tracks: a live version of «Love Is a Stranger», «I’ve Been Loving You Too Long» (a previously unreleased track that the band members had sent to each other), and a rerecording of «Ready, now, one, two, three».
Eurythmics was ranked #51 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Albums of the 1980s, and in 2003 was ranked number 117 on Rolling Stone magazine’s
