«Ponpu» is an action game released by developer N-Sentai in October 2010. The game is inspired by the Bomberman series and is referred to as a «zany homage» to the series. The plot revolves around the «Ponpu» aliens that come to earth to abduct the girls. Konpu is a pilot who is stranded on earth after an encounter with the Ponpu aliens. Konpu sets out to save his beautiful girlfriend from the Ponpu’s grasp. The game is a side-scrolling platform game, with Bomberman-style graphics and sound. In single-player mode, there is a full story campaign with 10 stages.

«Ponpu» features four modes of gameplay. The first is a «Time Battle» mode, which is a quick battle arena where players are required to complete a single mission within a set time limit. After completing an objective, players will proceed to the next level. There are three types of «Ponpu» that can appear on each stage, one with a straight route, another with a slightly steeper route, and the third can be avoided completely. Using the first of the three types to destroy the stages lets the player advance to the next level. The second type has two routes and cannot be destroyed, while the third type can be destroyed using bombs. There is also a «Turbo» mode, where players can increase their speed by matching three or more «Ponpu» on the screen. Levels can be replayed in this mode. There is also a «Fan» mode, which allows the player to choose from three «Ponpu».

Multiplayer modes are a further contribution from N-Sentai. Two of the modes are available to play locally, while the other two can be played through the online Xbox Live. The two local modes, «Dial Tone,» and «Ponpu World,» can be played with up to four players over Xbox Live. In «Dial Tone,» players use a cellphone to connect and summon heroes. The player who calls first has to kill the enemy hero within a time limit, while the second caller will have a chance to battle the enemy hero if he can call them in time, while the remaining players then compete to summon their own heroes. «Ponpu World» is a local multiplayer mode where players can use Xbox Live to connect to up to four people.
