Take control of the C.O.M.R.A.D.E. (Commando Operation Mass Response Attack Device) squad, the lowest ranking unit of the Red Star Corps.
Your duty: to fight in the war that your leaders have forced upon you.
Command in the most strategic way possible using all sorts of tactics and maneuvers to fight against the
army and their Red Star Corps.
Each unit has a weakness and a strength:
Their headquarters is vulnerable to attack
Use weapons, grenades, and traps to obliterate their HQ and eliminate all their units!
«Planet» Red Corps Red Star is a fighting game. The problem is, the leader and the Red Star Corps is supposed to be unstoppable!
How many times did the Great Pan Ching and his Red Star Corps team kick your ass?
How many times did the Red Star Corps team create memes about how weak you were on the internet?
… Uh, you do the math.
A funny story about all this, is that we came up with the Red Star Corps in a few hours.
All other characters, game mechanics, music and more were created by students in our digital design course at the University of Koblenz.
They let us design and implement everything for the game ourselves.

Red planet, man of Mars, the red man of Mars.
It might sound corny, but it is just what we want to do with our game.
Red as the colour of danger and fire, it is just what we need to paint this game with.
«Kill them all» the earthlings might have said on our flat planet. We want to give that to you with our game:
«Kill them all» but not on Mars, «Kill them all on Mars».
It’s a vast hostile planet with lots of little problems, and the C.O.M.R.A.D.E.s are the first to clean it up. They are the most powerful, they are the elite.
As they are trained to engage in close quarters combat, most of the C.O.M.R.A.D.E.s are highly skilled in the ways of melee combat, the other C.O.M.R.A.D.E.s use more specialized types of weapons,
but as you become closer in ranks with your squad, your skillset will be forged into a powerful weapon.
The combat in M.A.R.S.S. is more of a brain-game and less of an action game. You have to learn to communicate well, set traps, defend, attack and a whole lot of other stuff,
that might sound like you have been transported to a 20th century Soviet Union-level military training camp.
But it is more like you are trying to take control of your team during a fortress siege.
Every little slight mistake is the chance to turn into a real-life platoon commander and win the battle
not only for your team but for the planet.
The battlefield is designed like a war fortress.
Every combat unit has a certain type of weapon. Some are great for a tank, some are perfect for tanks,
others for infantry, air and naval units.
But every weapon can be used for more than one unit.
The design system is something we have worked on during the last years in the product research
as we were looking for a new direction in the visual design of our games.
By making the interaction around the units with the environment, the teammates and the enemy,
the design was a step ahead of the competition.

– Your commander is also your lifeline. Left him alone, and you’re dead. Make sure to keep him alive, and your mission will be accomplished in no time.
– Your decisions will affect the environment you’re placed in, and therefore the troops you’re fighting with. For example, you can escape by reversing the time around you, but you may have to leave your commander behind.
– Your goal is to achieve overall victory, or plant the colours red on the surface of Mars.
– You can build up a weapon farm and place traps to kill the enemy.
– You can use explosive barrels to blow up certain parts of the map or to set up a mini-game, if you wish.
– You have a variety of missions that you can execute in the game. The tactical decision is yours to make.
– You can play solo, or you can play on a team with 2-4 players. We recommend 4 players.
– We encourage you to play the whole campaign to see the full experience, as we are adding a post-campaign offline offline mode.
– You can also download maps and try out all the features of M.A.R.S.S.
M.A.R.S.S. – Multiplayer – Offline – Campaign:
Play the campaign as a single player, or try out the multiplayer, complete this campaign, then come back to M.A.R.S.S. to unlock the offline mode to challenge other players!
For solo players, the campaign is 60 minutes long and will take you through the following mission (endless vids and you can try them out here:

Your goal in this mission is to defend the Red Planet from the RED PLANET and bring freedom back to Mars. You can use all the features to accomplish your task. There are 3 different missions. We have a separate ranking based on your performance in the missions.
There are 5 different units in the game, with a variety of weapons and their specific weaknesses. Each soldier has a different role, but you should always have at least one of each soldier in your squad. It is imperative that you take care of your commander, as if he dies, you’re going to have a big problem. The game will auto-load after the death of your commander.
