How do I identify if a line drawn on canvas is on the inside or outside the area of the rectangle
I have a canvas that has a rectangle drawn on it. When I draw a line on the canvas, I need to know if it’s on the inside or outside of the area of the rectangle.
As an example: Here is my input:
I draw a red line on the canvas, when I detect the line is within the black area, do something, when outside, do something else.
A:
You will need to use getPointAtFunc() to find the pixel along the line.
Once you have that, you will need to know if the pixel is on the left or right side of the rectangle.
On the left:
Check if the point is inside the rectangle:
