the new versions of the folder lock product available now in fortisiem 5.2.5 and 5.6, have fixed a couple of issues:

1. the virtual lock icon for lockers was not displayed in a folder in mac os x. this is now corrected.

previously, there was no way to delete folders and files in a locker. now, you can delete any file or folder in a locker or folder. in addition, you can delete, move or rename files and folders in a locker.

when you export a locker to a file or folder, you have the option to add a password. however, if you are sharing with other users who can do the same, the password may be visible to them. also, they can share the locker by importing it back to their computer. this may result in the loss of your information.

the new version of the folder lock product available now in fortisiem 5.2.5 and 5.6, has some other features:

1. folder lock now supports mac os x 10.6 (snow leopard) and above. folder lock is now a universal binary (intel, powerpc, and arm) application. it is available for all supported operating systems, including windows xp sp2 and vista sp2.

2. folder lock now allows you to include a cname record when you export a locker to a file or folder. this gives you the opportunity to specify a unique name for the exported file or folder that will be displayed on the web site where you are exporting the file or folder. you can also specify the alias name in the cname record. if you do not include a cname record, then the original filename of the file or folder will be used.

5. a lock icon has been added to the virtual folder icon. clicking on this icon displays the details of the lock, including the locker, the owner, the date and time when the lock was applied, and the reason for the lock.
