Edward Foster Paul (August 14, 1875 – September 18, 1956) was an American politician from New York.

Life
He was born on August 14, 1875, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the son of Reverend Francis Paul (1851–1929) and Rebecca (Jenkins) Paul (1851–1934). He entered the dry goods business. In the year 1901, he married Louise Maria Maddern (1877–1953), and they had three children.

Paul was a member of the New York State Assembly (Westchester Co., 1st D.) in 1909 and 1910. He was Chairman of the Committee on Codes in 1910 and 1911.

He was a member of the New York State Senate (31st D.) from 1913 to 1914. In 1914, he ran on the Progressive ticket for Congress, but was defeated by the incumbent Republican Louis William Valentine.

He was again a member of the State Assembly (Westchester Co., 15th D.) from 1915 to 1917; and was Chairman of the Committee on Codes from 1915 to 1917.

He was again a member of the State Senate in 1920; and was elected Vice President of the New York State Senate in 1921, to succeed Democrat John A. Young. He resigned his seat in 1924.

He died on September 18, 1956, in New York City.
