the inception of astrology as we know it today is traceable to the year 1922 when dr. raman, fully trained in western medicine, undertook work on ayurveda and yoga and first discovered in these disciplines the siddhi of jyotish or precise prediction in the fields of disease. he compiled an extensive collection of diseased and successful cases, clinically. he started using this in his experiments which were on an experimental basis, but he was learning from the u.s. and ussr-and russia today is a raman revolution. the experimental nature of the analysis was well displayed in the zodiac of 1936, his last such work published before his death, which he had called vedic, astrological and showed the earliest signs of zodiac and cosmological concepts of vedic yantras, which he had learned from the late dr. king v.v. swami.
